IQTrainwrecks.com was set up by Daragh O Brien in 2006 as a tool to collate stories on the impact of poor quality information.

Daragh maintained the site as a volunteer service for the IAIDQ (International Association for Information and Data Quality) from 2006 until 2014, including funding the hosting and domain name registration for the site and the creation of content. Since 2009 the site has been sponsored entirely by Castlebridge Associates.

As of Feb 2015, IQTrainwrecks.com became IQTrainwrecks.info
